[ Akane shies away from the hand, instinctively scared that he will be able to feel how his wings were hiding behind the tight bandages. It might look okay underneath his layers and all that, but if you touched you could feel that it didn't seem like a regular human's back. There was something more there.

Namely, the curl of his wings tightly pressed against his back. ]

W-what...?

[ He was not about to engage in any further form of physical contact. He hated showing weakness and and as soon as he regained the use of his legs a bit more properly (ignoring the tingling sensation of blood rushing through them) he straightened up as best as he could.

He didn't notice that the other boy had wings as well. ]

Ah?

[ He wasn't even talking to him. ]

Ah, no, n-nothing, my m-mist...ake...

[ Did he know? Had he noticed? He was so worried. What if he locked him into the cage to take his place? ]

[youngblue]

[ ....he wouldn't do that..

Once he manages to get his legs to work properly, he grabbed the other boy by the arm, dragging him toward the door. ]

Gotta get outta here...

[He stops to peer out through a crack, listening intensely in case there is anyone out there. ]

[ Akane is a person who worries a lot of the time. It's hard to relax when you were scared of what would happen once others found out what you really are. ]

A-ah, sorry...

[ Why he says sorry, he's not sure of, but it seems appropriate. ]

[youngblue]

[ Ao doesn't even look back at him, as he hisses at the boy. ]

Quiet.

[ Akane claps his hands over his mouth to make sure he doesn't make a sound, frightened of what might happen now. ]

[youngblue]

[ He waits at the door, tensing up even more when he sees shadows shifting in the front room.

What the fuck was he supposed to do? ]

[legallyblinde]

[ Akane doesn't have his glasses on; he can't see the shadows and doesn't see how close other people are. He's standing stock still and barely breathing out of fear.

If they're caught now he's certain they're going to lock him up too. ]

[youngblue]

[ Unlike Akane, Ao’s eyesight happened to be really sharp. And although he hated it, he could stay completely still and wait impatiently.

It took a while, but eventually, the people left the room. He waited a couple more moments, though, just in case. ]

[ As long as Ao was standing still, so would Akane. And with how little he could see in the dim lighting, he didn't notice when he actually did either. ]

[youngblue]

[ Time to take a chance. He couldn't see anything more in the other room, and he couldn't hear anything either.

He really really hoped he just wasn't missing someone out of sight. ]

[ Yeah, uh... Akane still wasn't moving. ]

[youngblue]

[ Oh for fuck's sake...!

He had to retreat and pull the boy along, then. Fucking hell! ]

[ He nearly squeaks but manages to keep the sound in. He wants to apologize a thousand times over. ]

[youngblue]

[ He better not say a fucking word or make a fucking noise.

Ao makes sure he is silent, and it's seriously risky to go for the front door but he doesn't know the layout of the entire place so he has no idea if there's a backdoor. He thinks there is one, but he has never seen it, and there could be people inside by it. ]

[legallyblinde]

[ Akane lets himself be led anywhere Ao wants him to go, hand pressed over his mouth to make sure he keeps quiet. ]

[youngblue]

[ It goes way too slowly for them, Ao thinks. It’s mainly his fault, too, because his legs has not been used for so long.

When they’re just a meter or two from the front door, there’s the sound of a door opening and voices from the other end of the shop, and Ao pulls at Akane’s arm, trying to move faster across the room, so they can reach the front door before they’re noticed. ]

[ He stumbles after him, and isn't exactly as quiet as Ao might want him to be. It's kind of difficult to be so when you're moving in ways you're not used to. ]

[youngblue]

[ Fuck fuck fuck-- Fuck this loud guy and fuck those people that's been keeping him locked up for so long.

The voices are louder and there's a shout just as he puts his hand on the doorknob. Yep, they've been noticed. ]

[legallyblinde]

[ Akane jumps as he hears that shout, and his wings press tighter toward his body, if such a thing was even possible. ]

[youngblue]

[ Please let the door be unlocked---he pulled at the door, but it was locked and he swore. Out loud this time, it didn't matter if he was quiet now anyway. He fumbled with the lock. How the hell do you work locks, fuck. ]

[legallyblinde]

You- you can't unlock it from the inside? [ He had heard the sound of Ao jiggling the door handle. Shouldn't there be something to just flip or twist on the inside? ]

[youngblue]

[ He hated locks that you needed a key to open. But his "owner" apparently loved them. ] Fucker's got the key. [ At least he's practiced kicking, when he's tried to kick open the door to the cage. It was a completely different angle of course but with a hand on Akane's shoulder he was able to send a kick at the door. Something jolted and there was a weak sound of wood cracking. Not good enough, though, and he has to kick again. He glares darkly at the people making their way through the room that's full of stuff for sale. ]

[ Fu-fucker? He doesn't point out how bad of a word that is, as there's currently more important things going on and... he can hear people coming now, and he shivers in fear, praying that Ao will get the door open. ]
